No Bake Chocolate Treats Made In 10 Minutes

These are two of my favorite no-bake chocolate treats that are made in about 10 minutes! I love an easy no-bake dessert, who doesn’t? These are quick to throw together and are a healthier alternative to store-bought candies! Not to mention finger-licking good.

Recently I talked all about these easy no-bake frozen banana bites but we are switching gears to all things chocolate treats today!

These sweet and salty treats are so tasty and guilt-free! I love the contrast of flavors between the sweet and salty.

I always finish my chocolate treats with my go-to finishing sea salt. It adds the perfect salty touch to compliment the dark chocolate. If you’ve never tried salt and chocolate together you are missing out!

Let’s dive in!

Recipe #1

No-Bake Date Turtles

ingredients for no bake date turtles

Let’s first talk about these gooey and delicious date turtles. I know I know dates can be a bit controversial. I however love them. We are strictly talking about Medjool dates. They are soft, gooey, and naturally have a caramel-like flavoring. They are also a healthy alternative to caramel and have some added health benefits.

Health.com says “The antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins in dates help support brain, digestive, and heart health and protect against disease.” Making them perfect for this no-bake treat!

I prefer dark chocolate in general so I used dark chocolate chips here, you can use your preference or what you have on hand!

melted chocolate and dates

You could also make healthier chocolate with melted coconut oil, cocoa powder, and maple syrup!

With only 3 main ingredients they are super simple to make. You simply need to make sure your dates are pitted, smash them down, add nuts, and cover in chocolate!

Top with sea salt to get that sweet and salty contrast and then pop them in the freezer until the chocolate has hardened (basically by the time the dishes are done but who’s counting?)

Keep in air tight container in fridge or freezer for up to 3 weeks.
I always use Medjool dates because they have the best gooey texture and are sweeter like caramel. Other types of date will not turn out very well with this recipe.
You can use other nuts but I find these best turn out with whole pecans or walnuts and give that classic flavor.
You can omit the sea salt but I personally love the flavor contrast.

Recipe #2

No-Bake Crunchy Nutty Bars

These are kind of like Mr. Goodbar and Krackle had a baby! But healthier and way better tasting in my opinion. A delicious mixture of dark chocolate with crunchy nuts, rice crisps, and sea salt. So good!

Again, so easy to throw together that you really can’t mess them up!

Instead of unnatural flavors and oils, these crunchy nutty bars are simply nuts and chocolate. You have the control over what goes into them!

Get creative with your choice of nuts, dried fruits, and toppings to customize to your needs.

I had cashews, pecans, and walnuts on hand so I used those.

The real winners of this recipe are the chocolate rice cake and the PB2 mixed into the chocolate, they really elevate the flavor and texture making this treat so tasty, and a little addictive.

I topped these with my favorite sea salt again and some shredded coconut.

Place in the freezer to harden the chocolate. You can break apart or cut into chunks to store, but either way you may not have any leftovers. 😉

You can get creative here and use any nuts of your choice. You can omit the PB2, salt, and coconut or add in other toppings like dried fruit and other nuts.
If you prefer more chocolate to nuts then add another 1/2 cup of chocolate chips for more of a bark style.

Which one of these no-bake chocolate treats are you going to try first?

You can actually make both at the same time, which is what I did here!

I made the Date Turtles first, then just melted more chocolate and went straight into making the Crunchy Nutty Bars.

Let me know if you make these and give them a 5-star rating if you love them.
