BBQ Pulled Pork Savory Sourdough Discard Pizza
Equipment
- 1 cast iron skillet

- ½ cup BBQ sauce save 2 TBSP to the side
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ¼ cup pickled onions
Instructions
- preheat oven to 450℉
- first make your sourdough discard pizza dough. Preheat a well-oiled cast iron skillet in the oven for 20 minutes, remove from oven and pour sourdough discard directly into the skillet. With the back of a ladle, move around the discard until the bottom and the sides or skillet are covered well. Place the skillet back in the oven for about 12 minutes until edges are browned and the bottom looks cooked through.

- Once crust is mostly cooked, remove skillet from the oven. Brush the dough with the 2 TBSP of BBQ sauce of choice.
- Begin adding your toppings. Spread the BBQ pulled pork out evenly, then add your cheese, pickled onions, and whatever other toppings you would like!
- Place back in the oven for another 12-15 minutes until your toppings are melted and cooked through.
- Remove from oven. Wait a few minutes for the pizza to cool, then remove the entire pizza from the skillet using spatulas.
